elitist values...my values of giving at all cost, are un
imaginable to those whom believe in an ideology that
takes at all cost.
What if I was to tell you that Social Darwinism
has manifested and evolved into another evil destructive
contemporary force...even today after years of
fighting for the equal right, to be equally valued!
Equity has become scarce in today's, individualistic,
competitive society. People are not paid what they are
worth, people are paid what the wealthy elitist say
they are worth... and for many it is nothing. Today,
the system that occupies our lives; politically, educationally,
legally and even at a magna (global) level is
confusing, difficult and challenging for the dominant
culture to even begin to comprehend. For the average
minority or oppressed population, it is staggeringly
difficult due to restrictions in opportunity. It is difficult
for any one person to combat this ideology of
ignorance due to contemporary inadvertent tactics;
classism, racism and discrimination that have now
mutated many times over, into indirect forms of
action. You see, the assumptions of one hundred and
fifty years ago continue to oppress many; and still
continue to ignore our greatest resource...people.
Human beings, with feelings, abilities, talents and
unbelievable spirit... regardless of group association
or physical characteristic!
Ask, the greatest amount of rising
homeless...woman and children. Ask a veteran how
Uncle Sam has treated them from the confines of
their cardboard box...or from the Veterans Hospitals
under investigation for wide mal treatment of veterans.
"Just another example of how vulnerable population
is disregarded as less valuable than others."
Our nation's power and the globalized world do
not seem to be valuing human beings, but disregarding
them, and as the world moves more toward technological
advancement; the containment of monetary
worth of the elitist (upper 5% of our nations population)
in our nation and competition on a global level
will become even more difficult, even for the United
States. This will create greater gaps within the stratifications
of class, eliminating the middle class and creating
the most poor and disregarded populations the
United States has ever produced.
If our leaders continue to allow elitist, classist,
racist ideologies to continue oppressing, destroying
and stifling most of our population than much of the
growing population and the current gaps in class and
wealth that continue to expand within our future generations
of the United States will cripple our nations
ability to compete against those of other globalized
and technologically enhanced nations. Our leaders
must realize that 5% of our nation cannot compete
with 85% of the world.
