Less Than Jake have become known as
one of the more respected
bands in the punk rock music
community, having catapulted
from indie upstarts to major-label
headliners.
The band's latest tour
arrives at Pontiac's Clutch
Cargo's on April 13.
"I don't know what it is,"
starts frontman Chris
Demakes, "But Michigan is by
far in the top five places in the
world for us to play based on
the response (from fans)."
The band is currently touring
on their 2003 Warner Bros.
album, Anthem, and plan to
start recording a new album in
June. The band is perhaps best
known, however, for their persistent
touring.
"You can't saturate the
market," says Demakes. "But
you should stay viable, take
bands out (on tour) who are
younger, and make it a good
show every time. That's what
we strive to do when we go on
the road."
