*THE STORY SO FAR: Ari Thanos quietly
entered the Flint music scene just over a year ago,
and quickly built up a following through their innovative
blend of honest, cello-driven rock and indiefolk.
" The songs have a melancholy tone to them,"
says guitarist Jason Duncan."A lot of our songs are
inspired by the Bible. We dont hear anything too
negative about our music, which is always encouraging."
Cellist Jess Marchbanks adds, "I see kids at just
about every show we go to that have never actually
seen a cello up close before, let alone one that has
the ability to play as loud as an electric guitar. It
sparks their curiosity and almost forces them to
stay and watch."
"People love when people take a different
approach to something," says bassist Rex Vernon.
"People are usually pleased with the outcome."
