Nickelback Dark Horse 2008 Roadrunner Records

On November 18 of last year, Nickelback released their sixth album, Dark Horse, with two of the most talked about singles.

“Gotta Be Somebody” was an instant hit among those with the softer side to show, as the lead singer, Chad Kroeger, uses wonderful harmonies and words to describe how there has to be someone out there. This song can touch the loneliest of hearts while at the same time get people up and dancing.

The next single “Something in Your Mouth” has been on radio stations such as Banana 101.5 for months and is usually one of the most requested songs next to bands such as Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold, making people just want to keep dancing.

Nickelback has become a multiplatinum band since the release of their albums Silver Side Up and All the Right Reasons, but there is more to them than just the albums. Dark Horse offers several songs that have amazing guitar riffs that would have any “Guitar Hero” or “Rock Band” player drooling over the chance to have those songs on the games.

I have listened to several of Nickelback’s albums and I honestly believe that this is by far one of their best albums that they have ever come out with. Many of the songs on the album are just about life in general and how real people live it.
